In an era of endless editing and digital shortcuts, the young Gothenburg thrashers Hostilia remain devoted to the qualities that once made metal exciting: raw energy, memorable songwriting and soul. Those values define their second album, “The Curse of Khamun”.

Formed in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2021 by brothers William Lindeblad (guitar) and Albert Lindeblad (drums), Hostilia has quickly emerged as one of the most exciting young bands in the new wave of Swedish Thrash Metal. Following the acclaimed debut album “Face The Fire” in 2025, praised by leading European metal publications, the band’s reputation continued to grow through tours with The Haunted and Dismember and a breakthrough performance at Sweden Rock Festival.

Recorded and produced entirely by the band, with Per Stålberg (Welfare Sounds) handling the mixing, “The Curse of Khamun” embraces a fully old-school philosophy. Music should sound like it’s being played by humans. No unnecessary digital shortcuts deliver an organic sound inspired by the classic thrash records of the 1980s.

Released less than a year after its predecessor, the album explores war, Italian 80s horror, fear of the unknown and the curse of the Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun. With razor-sharp riffs, aggressive energy and a growing reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young live acts, Hostilia proves that classic Thrash Metal still has plenty of new ground to conquer.
