“The song describes a cold, destructive force (‘Steelmachine’) as a symbol of modern systems of warfare and technology, which were created by humans but cause uncontrollable violence and suffering. At the same time, it criticises the fact that this destruction stems from human hatred and the pursuit of power, and ultimately comes back to haunt us. Power is frequently abused these days, and much of what is happening at the moment has the potential to be destructive. Nomen Est Omen … with the anthemic track “Steelmachine”, GENERATION STEEL release their first new single and, at the same time, the title track of their upcoming third studio album.

It is the first track featuring the new line-up, which has been completed by guitarist Thilo Hermann (ex-Running Wild, ex-Grave Digger, ex-Risk) and vocalist Mike Stark (Feanor, Stormburner).
