FLIGHT (Heavy Metal – Norway 🇳🇴) – Set to re release their self titled album on December 18, 2026 via Dying Victims Productions #flight #flightband #heavymetal

DYING VICTIMS PRODUCTIONS is proud to reissue the debut album of Norway’s FLIGHT, Flight, on vinyl LP format.

To call Norway’s FLIGHT “retro” or “vintage” is to miss the point. Since their formation in 2012, the quartet have walked the fine line between effortless and studious – a throwback to ‘70s proto-metal, sure, but done with such vigor and authenticity that even the most skeptical listener would be helpless to resist being whisked away some four decades into the past. Simply, their music exists in that same vacuum when ROCK conquered all: be it “hard rock,” FM rock, the dawn of “heavy metal,” or especially anything retroactively “proto-metal,” FLIGHT bring the past into the present and write understated-yet-invigorating rockers that draw from a very rich (and very idiosyncratic) history.

The first evidence of such was FLIGHT’s self-titled debut album, released in 2015 via Bad Omen Records. Starting the album with a similarly titular track served as a statement of sorts: “Flight” is where everything begins, where it goes, and the path ahead. Indeed, Flight was a journey back to said ‘70s, warm and rustic and heartfelt and handmade. Hot-rockin’ is the order of the day here, suffused with just the right amount of jangle, and dynamics taking center stage; there’s no “volume wars,” because when FLIGHT get going, they GO, and when they reel it back, it’s indeed REAL. Naturally, shades of heavy rock’s heroes dot the landscape – be it quartet-era Thin Lizzy, In Trance-era Scorpions, the first couple Rainbow records, any UFO ones, or earliest Riot – but the Norwegians’ charisma and craftsmanship trump any perceived obviousness. That Flight adds to this noble lineage, with all sincerity and authenticity, speaks loudest.

Following their release of 2023’s critically acclaimed Echoes of Journeys Past, DYING VICTIMS now makes FLIGHT’s debut album available on vinyl for the first time in over a decade. Spread the wings of your imagination and take Flight!
