Time To Kill Records is proud to announce Needs Must When the Devil Drives, the new album by UK heavy metal force ABSOLUTE POWER, arriving on November 6th, 2026.

Built around Simon Efemey (vocals – worked with Paradise Lost, The Wildhearts, Napalm Death, The Wonder Stuff, Amorphis), Shane Embury (bass – Napalm Death, Brujeria, Lock Up) and Mark Gemini Thwaite (lead guitar), Needs Must When the Devil Drives brings together decades of experience from across the heavy music spectrum. The album also features contributions from John Cooke (guitar – Napalm Death), Carl Stokes (drums – Cancer, The Groundhogs), Joe Taylor, Dominik Gryzbon, Ilsa Nielson and as special guest Tim “Ripper” Owens (Judas Priest, KK’s Priest, Iced Earth).

Rooted in classic heavy metal and shaped by the musicians’ diverse backgrounds, the album delivers a direct, powerful sound driven by heavy riffs, commanding vocals and a strong old-school metal spirit. At its core is the long-standing creative partnership between Efemey and Embury, whose shared roots in England’s West Midlands and formative connection to the heavy metal of the 1980s provide an important foundation for the record.

With Mark Gemini Thwaite delivering lead guitar across the entire album, Needs Must When the Devil Drives brings together musicians associated with Napalm Death, The Mission, Cancer, Judas Priest, Iced Earth and more, while establishing a distinct identity of its own.
