WINGS of DESTINY, one of the best and most promising Latin-American power metal acts, that in many occasions was noticed and recognized on the international scene, after releasing 6 blasting albums, generating a cult following, touring and recordings with such artists as Fabio Lione, Timo Tolkki, Mike Vescera, Roberto Tiranti, Victor Smolski, Firewind & Gus G, A.N.I.M.A.L., Rhapsody Reunion and many others; after establishing itself as a “real deal” in terms of performing and releasing top notch productions acclaimed by both critics and fans all around the world, decided to join forces with David Shankle (exManowar) and Mike Lepond (Symphony X) as their new guitar and bass players and official members of the band. Formerly from MANOWAR, David Shankle consolidated himself through the past years and multiple projects (like DSG among many others) as one of the worlds´ fastest and most creative shredders, being a true guitar hero, being also a co-writer of such power metal anthems as “Ride the Dragon”, “Metal Warriors”, “Power of thy sword” & “Master of the wind” (taken from Manowar´s multiplatinum “Triumph of Steel” record). Michael Anthony LePond III (born 1966), is an American musician from Newark, New Jersey. LePond has recorded over 40 albums with various bands and has appeared on over 20 other albums in a guest capacity. Best known as the current bassist of the progressive metal band Symphony X, LePond joined the band in 1999 and can be heard on all albums since the release of V: The New Mythology Suite in 2000. He has also worked with a number of bands within the European metal scene, and has released 4 solo albums with Mike LePond’s Silent Assassins.
