WILDHUNT (Heavy Metal – Austria 🇦🇹) – Their new album “Aletheia” is due out NOW via Jawbreaker Records #Wildhunt #heavymetal

Aletheia is the highly anticipated second album from the Austrian thrash/heavy metal band Wildhunt, released on January 2, 2026 by Jawbreaker Records (in LP, CD and digital formats). After ten years since their debut Descending (2016), the band returns with a mature and refined work, continuing the path forged in the previous album, but exploring even more epic and intricate territories. With seven tracks, Aletheia offers a unique blend of energetic and heavy thrash metal, with vigorous riffs, ferocious harmonies inspired by the 80s, complex song structures and epic arrangements. The compositions are long and progressive, with dynamic changes that create a true emotional rollercoaster, without losing the characteristic aggression of the genre. Dark and provocative lyrics address profound themes such as the complexity of the human mind, society, and the search for truth (the title “Aletheia” comes from ancient Greek and means “truth” or “revelation,” with the slogan “Chastise all deceit”). Clear influences from bands like early Metallica, Heathen, Megadeth, Coroner, Paradox, and King Diamond are evident, but Wildhunt maintains its own identity, with rich musical layers, impressive drumming techniques, and memorable solos. Initial reviews praise the album as one of the highlights of modern thrash, refined and innovative, ideal for fans of technical and unconventional metal. A triumphant return worth the wait! If you enjoy deep and epic thrash, Aletheia is essential.
