WARRIOR PATH – album “The Mad King” (March 1, 2021 Symmetric Records)

There is a lot of Power Metal energy in the new album of Warrior Path.

Warrior Path from Greece was formed by guitarist and composer Andreas Sinanoglou. The release of the homonymous album in 2019 was our first contact with the Greek Power Metal band. It was an excellent project that gave us big promises for an even brighter musical future.

And indeed, on March 1^st2021, “THE MAD KING” arrived! The second album of the band became reality! Andreas Sinanoglou, Bob Katsionis, Dave Rundle and a Swedish power metal singer Daniel Heiman (Lost Horizon) is the new line up of the band.

“THE MAD KING” contains 10 songs and begins with the instrumental “It has begun”. When I listened to it the first reaction was a goosebump. And that was a sign that a magnificent musical trip had just begun.

it is not necessary to mention about each song separately. Τhe line up of the band guarantees a result of a very high level.

First of all, the voice of Daniel Heiman matched perfectly with the philosophy of the band. Power and Metal!!Bob Katsionis is as usual the multi-tool that makes the difference with his musical performance but also with the production of the album. The mastermind of the band Andreas Sinanoglou with his dynamic and clever riffs proves his musical value and Dave Rundle, on drums, creates the ideal base for everybody to meet each other and  build this excellent result.

And of course, this result is covered by an amazing artwork from the established Bulgarian artist Dimitar Nikolov.

“THE MAD KING” is without any doubt one of the best new releases for fans of Power Metal, but my suggestion is to follow those who do not listen to this kind of music and also accept that this album is a very good sample of quality music played by very good and well-known musicians. The band will surely attract a lot of new fans after this release.

So, the result, in my humble opinion, is much better than the already very good result from their first self-titled album. After listening to the whole album, I personally believe that “THE MAD KING”, could be the album of the year, that’s why is already difficult to be found.
