The band says about this artwork and album:
“This is our very first full-length album, so it means a lot to us as a band and as individuals. So naturally, we wanted a quality piece of art that reflected in some way the process that we have followed for it. ‘Rites of the Eclipse’ is not a concept album, but it does have a recurrent theme of one’s origins and heritage in a few of the songs.
“Considering all five members of the band hail from different countries, we wanted an artwork that could represent this in a somewhat mythological and intriguing way. We were also very adamant about supporting real artists in our projects, so all the art for ‘Rites of the Eclipse’ was made by Colin Bolger from the awesome Dabúlga Design (Ireland).”
Visualis formed in late 2018. They released their debut EP Sunrise in Black “Sunrise in Black” in 2021. They regularly gig in Sydney and Wollongong areas and have also played in Melbourne. Their upcoming new full length album will be released in 2025 together with a tour along the East Coast.
