Valiant Sentinel – Neverealm

Forged in steel and fire, Neverealm is the next epic chapter from Valiant Sentinel, delivering a power metal journey where myth, battle, and melody converge. Guided by the vision of guitarist and composer Dimitris Skodras, the album summons towering riffs, soaring choruses, and cinematic arrangements that transport listeners deep into a realm of eternal conflict and fantasy. To be released at January 16th 2026, the sophomore work of Valiant Sentinel is exciting journey in epic tales told through the metal’s most fitting genre, through speed and power.

Valiant Sentinel’s debut was an excellent album.A memorable work that put the band not only in the hearts and playlists of fans, but it claimed a place in the scene among the upcoming bands that had really something to show. And they did.

“Neverealm” is a whole new beast by itself. In just five years and only an album later, Valiant Sentinel have taken huge steps forward, releasing an incredible album. Valiant Sentinel serve and are deeply committed to their sound, and that is what makes it so exciting. The familiar feeling and the instant connection that evokes is the key that makes the “Neverealm” so memorable even after just one listen.

Once you have listened to the record, you realize that this has been a concept work. It is a collection of epic tales, of heroes tragic and brave, of worlds of fantasy that most of us, have found ourselves wandering in. And from the first minute the battle calls, with a marching rhythm matching the angels’ and demons’ armies pace as the “War In Heaven” rages. Soaring power metal riffs, thrashy undertones, and a hooking chorus grand and epic, create the perfect opening song.

“Neverealm”, the same titled and second track of the album, featuring Laura Guldemond of Burning Witches, continues on the same page. A commanding vocal duet gives off the feeling of commanders giving orders, while the cinematic arrangements- which are characteristic of the album- and epic, heavy/power riffs offer a pure grand and epic experience.

Third is the song “Mirkwood Forest”. This is where the bards come to sing tales accompanied by elegant, mellow melodies composed to fit great king’s halls and taverns alike. Yet, their melodies are met with riffs hammered on anvils, soaring, epic and heavy, with speed and even some thrash influences here and there, in the essence of Blind Guardian. The “Underdark”, for the DnD and Baldur’s Gate fans, is a power metal pinnacle with a Blind Guardian-like arrangement with speed riffs and intricate melodies.

Back to the LoTR universe, “To Mend The Ring” is a beautiful soothing, bardic ballad, melodic, a rest from the soaring, power metal riffs. And after the brief rest, for the fans of Miyazaki and the Soulsborn worlds, “Elden Lord” comes with riffs forged in the Lands Between telling tales of the Tarnished and their epic journey back to claim their throne.

Seventh, the “Come What May” again offers a rest from the riff-hammering with a calm, beautiful ballad. A moment of calm before the storm that arrives with the track “Arch Nemesis”. Featuring the great Zak Stevens of Savatage, the album’s eighth track is not only one of the best of the album, but a masterclass of how melody and seer power can co-exist in a grand and epic song.

Finally, the grand finale is marked by men’s last stand against the forces of Saruman, at “The Battle Of Hornburg”. A proper final track, a mixture of epic heavy metal and power metal, as epic as the battle for the world’s survival in one of the most famous high fantasy stories ever told.
