U.N.S.I.N. – interview for Kick Ass Forever via Angels PR Music Promotion #unsin
Interview conducted & submitted by Marian Nicolaou via Angels PR Music Promotion – thank you Marian!
Welcome guys! Tell us a few words about the formation of the band. Who had the idea of U.N.S.I.N.?
We started the band back in 2009. We met each other from different musical projects and wanted to make our own sound. The idea of the creation of the band came from the guitarist who is actually the only member that is in the band until now.
Your video “Acid” has almost 2 million views on YouTube! How did you manage this?
We worked so hard for it, even if we didn’t expect to achieve that number, since we were inactive for some years.
The band was back after a lot of years since the release of the first EP! What happened?
After the release of “0154” we had many proposals from labels and agencies that needed so much time and effort from each member of the band. Unfortunately, we were not all in the same page so we had to separate our ways. We had no plans of activating the band again until we found Evi Nadia. After that, it was very clear to us that we must enter the new era of U.N.S.I.N
You released a lyric video about your awesome new song “Addict”. When can we wait about the full album?
We were planning to release our album this September. Due to Covid-19 we may postpone the release of the album but not releasing more music.
Are there any plans for official video?
Yes..it’s coming sooner than you think.
I can describe your music as a modern nu metal mix with a pop essence. What is your opinion about this?
Our music is a hybrid of many influences, in between experimental-alternative-groovy-prog metal. What most probably makes it “pop” as you say, is the combination of our aggressive sound with Evi Nadia’s different perspective who playfully changes her vocal line style from rock to RnB and vice versa.
Do you believe that nowadays is easier for a band to become more known?
It is as difficult as it was in the previous years or decades with the exception that you have the internet or the available tools even in your home. There is huge information on the internet that passes away just in one click. It is very difficult to stand up from this mass and huge information as difficult as it was back then, when bands didn’t have easy access to listeners. You need to be good, precise, work hard, move smart but also you need to be lucky also either if you have technology by your side or not.
Any plans for shows after the release of the full album?
We can’t wait to release our album and go out there to promote it live! Hope this pandemic comes to an end very soon so we can plan the shows for our upcoming album.
What about the lyrics of the band? Any special message?
Lyrics are 100% percent written by Evi Nadia, so the themes are based on her personal experiences with a strong feeling of redemption.
Thank you very much for this interview. The last words are yours.
Thank you so much for your interest in our music. We can’t wait to get back on the previous state, wearing no masks, being healthy, making real live gigs hitting up the stage again. Stay tuned. More releases are about to come really soon.
