Established in 2014, Toxic Ruin is a Thrash/Death Metal band based in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Toxic Ruin’s lineup includes: Stephen Behrendt (Lead Vocals, Bass), David Miller (Drums), Jacob Baneck (Lead Guitar), and Blake Toltzmann (Rhythm Guitar). Since their inception in 2014, Toxic Ruin has quickly evolved into a perfect blend of old school thrash metal, old school death metal, and a long pour shot of modern techniques, concepts, and brutal tones. It culminates in a distinctive, aggressive, intoxicating sound that is heavy as hell, and insanely fun. A heavy hitting, Hamm’s drinking groove party on the stage, Toxic Ruin incites the drunkest of mosh pits.

In 2016, Toxic Ruin released their first full length album, Subterranean Terror. It received high praise, and was described as being “close to the sound of Exodus, Toxik, Municipal Waste, Havok, Vektor, Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer”, and having “excellent compositions and lyrics dealing with social, philosophical and alcohol related topics” – Behind The Veil
In 2018 Toxic Ruin released their EP, Mortal Insolence, and it was their first release to feature Stephen Behrendt as lead vocalist, and Blake Toltzmann on guitar. It was also a meaningful shift in tone for the band, showcasing “a stronger level of confidence and insight into dynamic songwriting for a thrash band not content to rest on recycling the past – but rather creating a bright future” – Matt Coe, Dead Rhetoric

While relentlessly touring the USA, playing multiple festivals, and winning 2nd place in the 2019 finals of Wacken Battle, Toxic Ruin has still managed to continue writing and recording a heap of new content. Their newest album, Nightmare Eclipse, is their heaviest and most complex creation yet, and is due to release early 2021. It features guest solos from the likes of Nick Weyers (Aronious), Derek Debruin (Micawber), and the legendary Glen Drover (ex-Megadeth).
