And here it is FINALLY the music video from TOQUE for our new single FIGHTERS shot in downtown Los Angeles, California by Fernando Cordero and edited by Vicente Cordero.
The origin of this song is an interesting one. We were randomly approached about contributing a song for the Gladiator 2 movie. Though that never materialized the song FIGHTERS was born.
The song is more about the personal struggles we are all surrounded by. I lost my Father last year. @brentfitz lost his Mother the year before that. I have witnessed friends fighting through illnesses. Some winning and some succumbing. To me the song is for those fighting every single day. Everyone is fighting something. If we are lucky we have a support group that fights along with us.
This song is for them. For you. For us.
The second verse paraphrases a quote from Paul Bissonnette ‘Biz Nasty’ @biznasty from the @penguins and @arizonacoyotes He was attacked by 6 men in Scottsdale, Arizona but somehow prevailed. When asked what happened his answer was, “Took some, gave more”. Meaning hits, punches. One @nhl hockey player fought off six men and won.
The line in the song FIGHTERS is ‘I took a few but baby I gave more’. Yeah life kicks my ass but I fight back twice as hard. That’s the idea. Biz Nasty is our inspiration for fighting the good fight.
The production on this song is one of our best. The great @corychurko for the win!
