THE STRIGAS is an Italian Gothic Rock band originally formed in 2010 by the singer/songwriter Fabio “Phobos Storm” Ficarella and the bass player Liboria Tesoro. After the release of their debut album “A Poisoned Kiss To Reality” the band has been touring and sharing the stages with bands such as Moonspell, 69 Eyes, Behemoth and many others of the “darker” metal and rock scene. Their sound is inspired by Finnish gothic rock and influenced by modern alternative metal.

BIOGRAPHY–THE STRIGAS[ENG]“The Strigas”was born in the Summer of 2010, by the minds of Fabio “Phobos Storm” Ficarella (vocalist)and Liboria Tesoro (Bass guitarist), who wanted to express themselves in a new music project influenced bya Finnish gothic rock sound.Since the beginning, they focus their work in song-writing and in self promotion through the Web, gigs andfestivals.They soon release their first self produced EP, containing the songs “Sometimes” and “Falling Down”, airedin some local and Web Radios, which entered the most-listened songs hit parade in the Mtv.it community.They win the“Golem Dungeon Contest”2011 gaining the co-production of a full length album and signingwith the“Southern Brigade Records”label.They win the“ROCK TARGATO ITALIA”2011 contest.In 2011 and 2012they perform many live shows, with venues spread all over the Italian territory (at Legend54 in Milan, at Init Club in Rome, at Teatro Hops in Genoa, at B-Side in Cosenza….)Among their experiences The Strigas count their presence in many Metal and Rock Festivals such as“TotalMetal Festival 2014”,“Rock in Park”,“San Metallo”,“A.Live Rock Festival”, sharing the stage withnumerous international artists of the Rock and Metal worldwide scene, such asMOONSPELL,ANNIHILATOR, KREATOR, BEHEMOTH, DECAPITATED,RECKLESS LOVE,SACRUM,EKTOMORF,STEVE HEWITT(formerPLACEBO) and Italians such asELDRITCH, SECRET SPHERE, TEMPERANCE,ALTERIA,MARIO RISO(REZOPHONIC),TRICK OR TREAT,ADIMIRON,DRAGONHAMMER,RUSTLESSand many others likeZIBBA,MUNICIPALEBALCANICAandTHE BASTARDS SONS OFDIONISO.In 2013 some of their songs were chosen to take part in the official soundtrack of“THE CROW: SHREDS OFMEMORIES”, directed byP. Cinieri.In 2014 will be released the first official full-length album:“A Poisoned Kiss ToReality”, recorded, mixedand mastered atGolem Dungeon Studio, byGiuseppe Dentamaro(Golem,Backjumper,Godyva…) withthe labelSouthern Brigade Records / Scarlet Records, featuringGodyvakeyboardistBotysin the song“Falling Down”. The videoclip of “Falling Down” has been chosen as “Video of The Week” byRock Tvandhas been scheduled for heavy rotation in March. In the same month“A Poisoned Kiss To Reality”hasentered the TOP 5 “Best new Add” for the American RadioRock Def Radio.In March 2015 they start their first European Tour, playing in venues such as “Hard Rock Warsaw”and“GLORIA”inFINLAND, for the “TRASH FEST VII”.
