Monolith on the Mesa (MOTM) takes you on a psychedelic, virtual journey this weekend with flashbacks and fresh footage of the heaviest, doomiest, groovin’-est bands you live to rock with. The stream will include full sets from the outdoor Mothership stage by The Obsessed, Dead Meadow, and The Heavy Eyes that were captured in 2019.
Festival founders Dano Sanchez and Roman Barham will “be teleporting around Taos while hosting from the Earthship Pyramid-Monolith on the Mesa…watch performances from EYE, Lisa Bella Donna, Green Druid, Relaxer plus the headliners, with visual stimulation from The Mad Alchemist Liquid Light Show…so crank up your surround sound and enjoy our flashback.”
This online festival will run for three days to accommodate all the fine tunes, good vibes and rad feelings seeing live music brings.
EYE, as well as Lisa Bella Donna, have provided an exclusive audio-visual montage of cinematic proportions. Green Druid has delivered a trippy music session featuring green screen technology amping up the psych weirdness fans crave. 
Earthquaker Devices is sharing a mini documentary, filmed in their signature style, revealing amazing insider info on their pedals, while Relaxer drop in with a live session, featuring highly stylized visuals.
There’s also an excerpt featuring live indoor stage footage of In The Company of Serpents’ 2019 MOTM set. Plus a special salute to Wino who celebrates his 60th birthday this month.

There are no plans to air this exclusive virtual festival again. This is a one time only viewing event.
Since the event is being streamed for free, fans are heartily encouraged to utilize the Tip Jar function and to support the bands, artists and festival by purchasing merchandise (links will be posted).
Interviews will air with visual artists including sculptors Christian Ristow and Christina Sporrong discussing  “their metal, fuel, and fire-based artwork” (LIVE Taos) installed at the festival in 2019. Mad Alchemy interview is sure to be intriguing.

ABOUT MONOLITH ON THE MESAMonolith on the Mesa, a “High Desert Experience,” is an independent three-day music and immersive art festival founded by Dano Sanchez in 2019. Co-founder Roman Barham focuses on band booking. Both are Albuquerque natives. The festival takes place at the Taos Mesa Brewing Mothership, and on the grounds of Hotel Luna Mystica, just outside of Taos, New Mexico. The festival is focused on heavy riff-rock acts from across multiple sub-genres including stoner rock, heavy psych, doom metal, sludge, drone, and retro rock. The dramatic vistas and multiple stages along with immersive art installations set this festival apart. Attendees have the chance to enjoy all 40 bands performing during the three day event since performances switch between the scenic outdoor Earthship amphitheater stage and the club-style indoor stage. Festival capacity is limited to 1,500 to provide an intimate experience.
