The Bateleurs return with “A Light In The Darkness”, a follow up to the debut “The Sun In The Tenth House”. A key change in the line up underpins this new chapter, with guitarist Marco Reis departing and Ricardo Galrão stepping in, bringing a distinct touch that shapes the record’s direction. The band produced the album and tracked across three studios in January and February 2025, prioritising feel over correction. Performances were captured without quantisation, autotune, or heavy editing, aiming for live energy and clarity. Guests expand the palette with slide guitar, Hammond organ, traditional flute, and strings, and there is a bonus track available only on the CD edition. The group recently opened for Dirty Honey in Lisbon to strong media feedback, and a release show is set for 8 October at the Coliseu Club in Lisbon (Portugal).
