THE AMORETTES  are a 3 piece all female band from Scotland. This is their 4th album and it continues their rockin’ heritage! The band consists of Sisters Hannah McKay(drums and backing vocals) and Heather McKay(bass and backing vocals), along with Gill Montgomery(Guitar and lead vocals). This band’s sound is fun and straight ahead. Lots of classic influences shine through on the is album, most notably AC/DC. If you watch and listen to the video/song posted above, you will instantly know what you are in for – good, fun, no nonsense rock n roll!!!! I’ve been a fan of theirs for a while now and this one of those can’t go wrong albums.

CAN YOU FEEL THE FIRE opens the album with a nice up tempo feel and groove, setting the tone that these Scottish chicks are here to kick your ass!  The video/single EVERYTHING I LEARND I LEARNED FROM ROCK N ROLL is a real fun song, great chorus and hook! The title track BORN TO BREAK starts out with almost a punk rock kind of drum riff but then changes quickly to a straight ahead rocker. Lots of good hooks in the choruses to keep you glued and waiting for more. Songs like BAT SHIT CRAZY, YOU’VE STILL GOT ROCK N ROLL and HIGH ON YOUR ENERGY round out this kick ass album.
