STEEL ARCTUS is a heavy-epic-power metal band that fuses thunderous riffs, soaring vocals, and epic storytelling. Inspired by metal giants such as Manowar, Queensrÿche, Judas Priest, and Dio, the band delivers a powerful and cinematic sound rooted in mythology and fantasy. Their music features both epic anthemic tracks and fast, headbanging songs that ignite energy in every listener.
Formed in 2020 by guitarist Thanasis “Nash” Gousis, Steel Arctus embodies the spirit of heroic metal. The name derives from the Greek word “Άρκτος” (Arktos), meaning “bear”, symbolizing strength and resilience—a tribute to Nash’s homeland in the rugged Pindus mountains. The band’s concept is centered around a warrior protagonist, with themes influenced by Greek mythology, J.R.R. Tolkien, H.P. Lovecraft, and Clark Ashton Smith.
The band has shared the stage with Vicious Rumors, Riot, and Domine, proving their commanding presence in the live circuit. Their powerful stage performances and epic compositions continue to captivate audiences, further solidifying their place in the heavy metal world.
STEEL ARCTUS’ debut album “Fire and Blood” was released in 2020, and their sophomore album “Master of War” was released in 2022. The third album, “Dreamruler” is set for a release on November 28th 2025, by No Remorse Records, including epic anthems, screaming vocals and crushing riffs!
