ST. AURORA, EP ”They all remember”..(28 May 2021, self release)
After three successful singles, “Falling (Just Another Way to Fly)”, “Rejects of Society” and “They All Remember”, St Aurora released their first complete record, an EP of five songs, called “They All Remember”.
If I had to describe the “They All Remember” with just one word, that would be plain and straight up fun. The EP is nothing but a collection of uplifting, full of energy, catchy singles that will get you hooked up instantly. Luckily enough St Aurora came up with the perfect description for the EP, “each song is like a can of paint in different colors.” And it is exactly like described, a vibrant, exciting and colorful EP.
Bands like the Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, and Theory of a Deadman reside inspirationally in the sound of St Aurora. The EP is a vibrant mix of metal core, alternative metal/rock and punk. The first three songs, “Falling (Just Another Way to Fly)”, “Rejects of Society” and “They All Remember” follow the same musical pattern, a mix of metal core with the alternative metal/rock sound of the band along with wide choruses. Fourth is the “Agree to Disagree”, which follows a more straight pop punk route that reminds bands like the Green Day, Blink 182 and the 00’s sound of artists like Avril Lavigne. The last song, “It’s My Time”, is the most complex and unique idea of the EP. With a bit dark delta blues intro, the song changes halfway through to metalcore with a shoegaze twist, offering a really interesting musical idea.
St Aurora presented themselves with an EP full of catchy singles and memorable refrains and the “They All Remember” is the first step to a most likely exciting course in the music scene.
