Scottish heavy rock trio SOLAR SONS are gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated sixth studio album, Altitude, which will see the light on October 24th, 2025 via Argonauta Records. Altitude marks the sixth studio album by Scottish heavy rock trio Solar Sons, recorded in November 2024 at Nameless City Sound with engineer Jamie Gilchrist. Tracked in just 8 days, the record captures the raw energy and chemistry of the band at their most confident and electrifying.

The songs on Altitude are about friendship, escaping the madness of the city, shaking off the blues, and celebrating the magic of music. Each track is performed with an intensity that radiates good vibes and pure rock ’n’ roll spirit.

Band Biography – Solar Sons

Hailing from Dundee, Scotland, Solar Sons are a high-energy rock and metal trio who twist traditional heavy metal with modern groove, a sprinkling of stoner/doom, and touches of progressive rock.

Rory Lee (bass & vocals) delivers both powerful low-end precision and soaring, dynamic vocal lines.
Danny Lee (guitar) brings the big riffs, scorching lead breaks, and driving hooks.
Pete Garrow (drums) anchors the band with thunderous rhythm and relentless energy.
Since their formation in 2016, Solar Sons have self-released five albums, with their last two (2021 and 2023) earning widespread praise across the underground heavy scene. Their music has been featured and positively reviewed by Doomed and Stoned, Weedian, Outlaws of the Sun, The Obelisk, Ave Noctum, and many more international platforms.

On stage, Solar Sons are a proven live force.
