SKULL KORAPTOR – Interview with KICK ASS FOREVER #skullloraptor

– Hello guys and thank you for this interview! How did the name “Skull Koraptor” come up?
Helloooo!!  There where many ideas about the band’s name and Skull Koraptor was a combination of them.

– What are you main musical influences that gave shape to your music?
We are having a lot of influence from the 80’s thrash metal scene.

– Your lyrical influences are the typical “good old thrash revolutionary themes” or there is a special message that you want to spread through your music?
The lyrics until now are talking about individual experiences about life and also about the effect of the social environment.

– Your debut album ” Chaos Station” is on its way! What are the key points into the music of this album that will make your breakthrough at the thrash metal music in 2019? What’s your best memory from the recordings session?

The key points in our debut album “Chaos station” are the melodies that we have in our song, combined with thrash metal influences. We enjoyed every session of the recordings, while the best one was the part of the gang vocals.

– Among others, you have shared the stage with the great Tankard! How that happened, and what have you gained from this experience?

 

We would like to thank Crisis Production for putting us as a support act in the live with Tankard. It was an amazing experience and a great show, while we were very pleased to meeting them as a person.

– Among the “Big 4” which is the one band that you would like to share the stage?

They are all a big influence to our music, while sharing the stage with Megadeth would be a great experience.

– Since the early 80’s, how you see the progress of the thrash metal music through the decades? Do you believe that this genre of metal music has still things to offer or the thrash metal bands of today need to imply new stuff in their compositions in order to keep it fresh?

Well, we believe that thrash metal bands of today are still offering things to thrash metal by adding their own unique styles.

– What should your fans expect from “Chaos Station”?

They can expect a thrash metal album with many melodic parts.

– What are your plans in terms of live appearances? Any European tour in the making?

We are still waiting for the release date of our debut album and therefore we will organize live appearances abroad.

– Where do you see Skull Koraptor in 5 years from now?

We are already working on some new materials, so we believe that there will be a second album while, there are also going to be some tours during this period of time.
