OK, before I start the review, I need to give mad, sick, triple double horns held high to this label, Shadow Kingdom Records – these guys have been releasing some ultra amazing old school metal that my ears are loving!! Great job guys, please keep em coming!!! Now, the band SEAX are from Worcester, MA but sound like they’re from 1982 in the San Francisco area if ya know what I mean(nod nod, wink wink). This pre MTV 1980’s bay area thrash sounding metal and it’s fucking awesome!!!!

The word SEAX in Old English/Viking actually means “knife”, which is very appropriate for their slashing style. I don’t know how else to describe their sound other than bundled fury. I haven’t heard or felt energy like this since the early days of Slayer, Venom and Metallica. Just song after song is like a sonic assault on your soul! Check this tune out —–

Filled with crunchy yet blazing riffs and blast beats, sometime inappropriate high pitched falsetto screams and blistering guitar solos, SEAX has it all. This is the way metal sounded before it became diluted with so many sub genres, none of us can keep up with them all. It used to be “metal was metal”, and SEAX re defines that for a new generation of what’s called the NWOTHM(new wave of thrash heavy metal). I lived through the beginning of heavy metal in the early 1980’s, and SEAX would’ve fit right in. Give this album a chance, let it rip your ear drums apart, turn it up!!! There wasn’t one weak tune on the album. Seax and Shadow Kingdom Records have hit a heavy metal home run here, SEAX IS AWESOME!!!!! I highly recommend FALLOUT RITUALS to anyone looking to fill that old school gap that got lost in the shuffle as time rolled on.
