HEAVY METAL TRIO RUSTY EYE SHARE SULTRY HORROR-THEMED MUSIC VIDEO FOR “HELLBOUND WITCH” PEGGED TO RELEASE OF NEW ALBUM ‘DISSECTING SHADOWS’ OUT NOW VIA EPOCHÉ RECORDS/BLOOD BLAST DISTRIBUTION
Los Angeles-based heavy metal trio RUSTY EYE today (October 23) have unveiled their first new music in over six years with their sixth full-length album DISSECTING SHADOWS via Epoché Records/Blood Blast Distribution. The album highlights their definitive “Rust’n’Roll” sound which packs the essential elements of “the three M’s–Misfits, Motörhead, and Maiden” with its blend of prog, thrash, punk, blackened death and synthwave. The band have also shared the seductive horror-themed music video for its third single, “Hellbound Witch,” which can be seen premiering today via Cryptic Rock.
“Hellbound Witch” was filmed at the infamous Jumbo’s Clown Room strip club in Hollywood, CA with director Alejandro Ordonez (Raubtier Productions), who also did the same honors for their two previously premiered video singles: “This Is Permanent” (via Metal Injection, 8/27) and “Can’t Wait To Go To Hell” (via Decibel Magazine, 9/17). “Hellbound Witch” arrives just in time for Halloween as it follows the haunting tale of three ‘hell bound witches.’
DISSECTING SHADOWS is available now on CD, Vinyl (limited to 500 clear variants) and a special limited-edition branded boombox and cassette bundle at http://store.rustyeye.com. Digital downloads are available across all platforms here.
RUSTY EYE—which along with Mr. Rust includes co-vocalist/drummer Miss Randall and guitarist Baron Murtland—have previously released five studio albums, a catalog of EPs, live records, singles, and music videos that have seen them featured in several notable music outlets including Noisey, Revolver, Metalsucks, Metal Edge, Exclaim! and Music Connection, while their horror-themed lyrics and videos have received praise from the likes of horror genre outlets including Rue Morgue and the defunct FEARnet.com. Their 2014 release Saca el Cobre–a cover album of Spanish language classics by Cuca, Amantes de Lola, Fobia, Caifanes, Café Tacuba, and Maldita Vecindad–caught the attention of famed Mexican musician and filmmaker Sergio Arau, who hired RUSTY EYE to be his backing band.
