RAVEN – “All For One” Re-Release with bonus tracks via High Roller Records – Release date: May 14, 2021 #raven #allforone #nwobhm
OVERVIEW For their third album “All For One”, released in August 1983, the Newcastle-based trio of bassist/vocalist John Gallagher, his guitarist brother Mark and drummer Rob Hunter set about making some major changes. Playing a number of dates in America at the end of 1982 had been an eye-opener for RAVEN, and they decided that “All For One” would be less about speed and more about muscle. And to help them achieve the album they could hear in their heads they wanted the use of more elaborate equipment than Neat Records’ Impulse Studios could offer, together with a producer of their choice. Top of their list was Michael Wagener – because of his work on Accept’s “Breaker” LP – who unbeknown to the band was working at that time with Accept’s frontman Udo Dirkschneider.
