PHANTOM REIGN were founded during the mid-80s and in 1991 they released in 250 copies their debut same-titled demo. Their unique, almost haunted Heavy Metal sound was firstly presented through this tape that is also a hell of a rarity nowadays.

We, at Arkeyn Steel Records, always thought that PHANTOM REIGN was a very special kind of band in the US Metal realm, thanks to their very special musical style. So we decided to officially present their complete recordings on a release that would do justice to their legacy. So for the very first time on CD we present both the out of print 1995 “No Hope for the Future” full length and the 1991 demo.

The remastering of Kostas Scandalis (at Infinity Studio on Thessaloniki – Greece), offered a remarkable sound quality to all the material included. The original CD cover has been upgraded by Kostas Athanasoglou and in the booklet you can discover lots of never before seen photos, the complete set of lyrics and an extensive biography written by the band, bringing to light a lot of unknown information.

At long last, some light is cast on one of the most mysterious chapters of the Illinois Metal scene. Yes, both their musical style and the very little info known about them can shape a mystery. But mysteries have to be solved!
