PAVILION – to release debut EP – “Age of Fear” on January 17, 2020 #pavilion
Brisbane four-piece Pavilion announce the release of their EP ‘Age of Fear’ which will be released on all online stores and streaming platforms at https://ditto.fm/age-of-fear-pavilion on 17th January.
Including the previously released single ‘Hellfire’, the remaining five songs on the EP take on a different approach, stepping in the realm of rock with a blend of alternative metal tones and a less aggressive style.
Pavilion describe the direction of the EP. “We wanted to create something that rock and metal fans alike can appreciate. The songs on the EP explore topics such as mankind, fear, the unknown, anxiety, depression, love and brotherhood. We want the fans to connect with the lyrical content as much as the musical content so we’ve kept it clean for the most part”.
The EP was recorded at Arcadia Recording Studios in Eatons Hill with engineer Gareth Hargreaves who is recognised for his work with bands such as UNI/VS, Patriots, Wildheart, Tired Eyes, Sensaii, and more.
Pavilion released their debut single ‘Hellfire’ in August 2019 and saw them receive airplay on Valley FM 89.5 and added to rotation on The Faction radio. The single has racked up 35,000+ streams on Spotify and the music video has received over 8,000 views through VEVO and HEAVY Magazine. The ‘Hellfire’ tour kicked off in the same month with a single launch at Woolly Mammoth followed by a short trip down to Crowbar Sydney and Stag & Hunter Newcastle.
Pavilion recently played alongside national heavyweights Lagerstein and Triple Kill at The Triffid and have exalted themselves on other iconic Brisbane stages such as The Brightside, Crowbar Brisbane, The Back Room, and more.
Age of Fear will be released Friday January 17 on all digital stores and streaming platforms.
