80’S CULT NEW JERSEY THRASH METAL BAND MIDIAN ANNOUNCES NEW DOUBLE CD “ANTHEMS: THE MIDIAN COLLECTION 1989-1991

The New Jersey Thrash Band’s New Double CD Now Available on Metal Warrior Records

….New Jersey 80’s underground cult thrash metal band Midian announced the release of their new double CD “Anthems: The Midian Collection 1989-1991, now available on Dutch label Metal Warrior Records. Band member and drummer Chris Hawkins has compiled this compilation of material that features all the Mercenari (pre-Midian) demos, all the Midian demos and some rare recordings. Recordings such as the Mercenari :1989 Demo”, “The Last War (1990) and “First Impressions (1991)”.

Chris says, “It’s amazing, that after 30 years, people still enjoy listening to our music. We’re all truly grateful. Keep it going everyone”. Metal Warrior Records will release 300 copies of “Anthems”. Chris further adds, “And also, hopefully, we can release this cool compilation on vinyl. That’s our goal as well besides the CD’s. We’re very happy with Metal Warrior Records. Been a pleasure to work with, let me tell you. Plus it was a case of good timing”.

Midian existed from 1989 till 1991. In that time, the band released five recordings. They shared the stage with bands like Pantera, Wrathchild America, Biohazard, Revenant, Ripping Corpse, Gothic Slam, Mucky Pup, Sleepy Hollow and more. The band have been in countless fanzines, been played on the radio in the States and in Europe. It was a short run for Midian, but they made their mark in the 80’s/’90’s underground metal scene. The proof..30 years and they are still relevant today. That should tell you something.
