More from KK’s Priest: https://www1.wdr.de/fernsehen/rockpal… The combo KK’s Priest of the legendary guitarist KK Downing (Judas Priest) has been active since 2020 and, to the delight of the audience, performs not only their own songs but also Priest classics live. After decades of working with Judas Priest, KK Downing left the British metal pioneers around Rob Halford in 2011, citing “an ongoing breakdown in working relations between me, parts of the band and the management”. In 2019, Downing performed again for the first time at the Bloodstock Festival together with Manowar guitarist Ross the Boss. In November of the same year, he played a show in Wolverhampton together with former Judas Priest members Tim “Ripper” Owens (vocals) and Les Binks (drums), then Megadeth bassist David Ellefson and Hostile guitarist AJ Mühlen. In January 2020, Downing signed a label deal and announced new songs of his own. In February, he announced that he had formed the new band KK’s Priest with Mills, Owens, Binks and bassist Tony Newton. The debut album “Sermons of the Sinner” was released in October 2021. Binks was replaced by Cage drummer Sean Elg during the recordings. Binks later occasionally performed live with KK’s Priest. In 2023, KK’s Priest released their second album “The Sinner Rides Again”.
