Prog metal group HYPOSTASIS announce full-length album, release lyric video for new single “VISIONS”

 

Greek progressive metallers Hypostasis have released a lyric video for their new song “Visions”, taken from their upcoming album, which is due in May 2026. Produced by the band’s own Konrad Kavallieratos and mastered by George Nerantzis (Pain of
Salvation, Gus G, Nightrage), Hypostasis’ debut concept album will mark the band’s return in its original lineup after an 8-year hiatus, and their first release after their eponymous 2016 EP. “Visions”, the first single off the new album, showcases the band’s evolution over the years, and sets the pace for the band’s raw, emotional sound and compositions. Accompanied by a lyric
video filmed and produced by Stratashi and Konrad, this release offers a taste of what is to
come, and a first sample of the post-hiatus Hypostasis. Vocalist and guitarist Romanos Alexander had this to say about the song:
“Visions” is one of the last songs in the album; as such, it is also one of the most dramatic ones, in my opinion. There is a very sharp contrast between anger and acceptance, passion and clarity; this is punctuated by what is possibly the most aggressive verse of the entire album, followed by a wide, airy, melodic chorus. Even in the instrumental parts, there is a constant ebb
and flow which brings this duality even more into focus. The vocals and lyrics are, naturally, also part of this bipolar focus. Shifting from outward aggression and blame, to introspection and acceptance, and over again. It certainly comes from
a place of hurt, but it is still beautiful in its way. I especially love the way the ending came out: the shift in the guitars in the final chorus, the fragile calm that comes over the vocals, and the instrumental fading outro, like a bittersweet farewell. It is a straightforward song on the surface, but there are many layers there for anyone willing to dig deeper. “Visions” was released on March 20, 2026.
