HOOTENANNY FREAKS (Hard Rock – Finland) – Their album “Eyes of the Warrior” is out now via Inverse Records #HootenannyFreaks

“Eyes Of The Warrior ” is the 2nd studio-album of the band. First album “Freakshow” was released in March 2019. With the new guitarist/keyboardist Aapo Häyrinen on board Hootenanny Freaks set the controls to the heart of the 80’s heavy metal and the band rocks better than ever. The group have made a record that not only brings to mind traditional heavy metal bands but also stands proudly next to them. Most of the songs are based on ‘70s and ‘80s kick-ass rock’n’roll and include heavy guitar riffs. With the help of Marko “Puke” Kataja’s excellent recording job the sound is immediate and more powerful than ever. The album is mastered at Waudio Mastering by Minerva Pappi.

Few songs differ from the normal style of Hootenanny Freaks’s music but the sturdy rock mode has not been forgotten. There’s more space for the keyboards this time for example. From this new album three singles have been previously released: Isolation, Girl On Fire and Night Train. Night Train was combined with an outlaw themed story, inspired by the Sons Of Anarchy TV series. All three songs and videos have received a lot of positive feedback – from Europe to South America and all the way to Australia.

Hootenanny Freaks was founded in 1997 and their music is strongly influenced by the 70’s and 80’s rock and roll. Band plays their live shows with a strong attitude and heartbeat and this has always been the trademark of the band. The group is a popular performer for example among the bikers and the band has done several successful gigs at swap meets and bigger bike-shows. At the MP-ROCK 2020 event organized by RADIO ROCK Finland band received the most audience votes and striking song material in particular received praise.
