Bio:
Helltern is a Heavy metal band from Curitiba, Brazil, formed in 11/2019. The name Helltern is a German term that means “Illuminated”.

The beginning of Helltern started at the beginning of 2017 when I(Mauricio Heibel) started to study guitar with Aly Fioren and at the end of 2019 I started to create some riffs that we developed and became the songs of our first album.

Some of the ideas seen in the debut album even go back to the year of 1995, when Mauricio Heibel started writing lyrics.

After the instrumental part was ready, we still didn’t have a vocalist and out of necessity I, Mauricio Heibel , decided to try recording the vocals of the songs. The results ended up great and then I took the role of lead singer.

The compositions of our first álbum “A World Without Mercy” were written by Mauricio Heibel and produced by Aly Fioren (Sad Theory, Carttada, Shadow Maze) and was recorded in Funds House Studio in 2020.

The recording sessions and the development of the project were done last year and produced by Aly Fioren.

The album, available on all digital platforms, and wich has names like Judas Priest, Accept, Dio, Iron Maiden as great influences.

Our musical style is a Heavy Metal with simple riffs, solos with themes and lyrics with striking choruses.

Helltern also enrolled Jeff Verdani(Sad Theory, Axecuter) and Andrey Fillies(Everwounded), as support musicians.

We have already started recording for the next album that will probably be released in 2022, it will be a concept album about the Divine Comedy.
