“Welcome to the Freakshow” is the new single & music video by Italian southern/thrash metallers Hellcowboys.

‘Welcome to the Freakshow’ is inspired by the circus of the bizarre, of the phenomena, with a clear reference to Tod Browning’s 1932 movie ‘Freaks’, all however related to modern society, where social relationships and modes of communication have changed.

Bio:

Hellcowboys were born in Rome in 2014 from the previous experience of Carton (2007-2014). The sound is influenced by the 80s/90s Metal with Southern and Thrash atmospheres and with an eye towards the dear old Rock ‘n’ Roll. In the autumn of 2016 the band completes the workings on the first album, recorded at the LRS Factory in Rome with Lorenzo Stecconi (already Zu, Ufomammut, Lento) and officially presented in the spring of 2017.

After a long live activity (including participation at Sinistro Fest-with DGM / Furor Gallico and more -opening act for the norwegian stoner band Kal-El, openings for some historical names of Italian metal -like Methedras, TIR… -and some gigs in clubs of center of Italy), in May 2019 the band enters Luciano Chessa‘s (Helligators, Doomraiser…) Moon Voice Studios to start recording the new album, “Mondo Bastardo” which will be released in the autumn of the same year for the independent Italian label Hellbones Records.

Summer 2022 Flavio “Imperatore” joins the band as drummer, his debut will be on the stage of Traffic Club in Rome which will see Hellcowboys opener (December 8, 2022) for the historic metal band VOIVOD.
