Hails Helestios! Ready to release your new full-length? Are you excited about that?

“ We are yes, as you know our first album was out in 2020 during lockdown so we’re really happy about the 2^nd album.. there’s a lot of excitement around the world too so hopefully it’ll do well.

Before moving to the details, please give us a biography of the band.

“Formed in 2020 by Henrijs and Stelios, wrote the 1^st album, formed a band, did some shows, changed line up twice, now the current line up is here..there, one brief biography..haha…”

The band founded three years ago by Henrijs and Stelios. How did you meet each other? Were you already friends? And how did you “manage” to have four members from four different countries?

“Henrijs found Stelios when he was looking for a guitarist to play on some songs he had for album 1. Two line ups later,here we are.. Taz joined on bass and then the band discovered the best drummer in ………Robs house…..haha…

This “internationality” of the band prevented you from performing live, am I right?

Do you wish to change this status with the current line-up and accompany the release of the new album with some live shows? I think that performing live is mandatory for better promotion of the band! “ As we are all based around the UK South Coast in Hampshire, we are all “ local “ to each other so rehearsal and live shows will be easier I think. Some are booked and some are being planned now..

Let’s move to the new album now. How would you describe your music to a metal fan that has never heard of you? What are your main influences?

“ We have likened to Melodic death metal giants as Opeth and Amon Amarth, we are truly honoured,and although we don’t really have that style of band we have our own , but I think Metal fans will love what we do, a bit of thrash , heavy metal and melo death all mixed together…

What are the differences between “Road To Ecstasy” and the debut album “Your Pain tastes Good”? Do you think that line-up changes have played an important role?

“ The first album had Ian ( drums) and Agnis ( album producer and bassist ) who are awesome players , but this lineup is what it’s about now and the 2^nd album I think is a step forward from what we did in the past , I think the 2 styles are quite different too..

Who is responsible for composing music and who is for the lyrics? What do you like to sing about?

“ Henrijs wrote the songs for the 1^st album and for the 2^nd , we are writing for the 3^rd album as we speak so we will all be writing together for this one, although Henrijs is the main writer,I think we will all have a hand in the 3^rd . Rob is writing a lot of lyrics too , it will all be thrown in the pot and if it’s used then all well and good, whatever is best for the songs will be used. “

Will the new album have a physical release? Have you contacted any label?

“ There will be a physical release, cds are being printed this week actually, We are working with Angels PR in Greece so I think we will be releasing ourselves unless we have a label sorted by release date. “

What are the plans for Helestios? What do you want to achieve through the band? “  Obviously world domination, haha . It would be nice to do some tours to promote the album along with festivals etc.. as I said gigs are being planned for this year but we are looking at USA and South America , Europe and possibly Asia for 2024.”
