HAUNT – release “Burst into Demo” via bandcamp #haunt
from the band’s Facebook page ——
I’ve been archiving my music over the past ten years for the last couple of months. A huge undertaking because there are just so many files. I have 72 pieces of work published as Beastmaker and 36 published songs as Haunt so let your imagination run wild of how many random riffs and pieces of unfinished work there are. I’ve had the opportunity to remix the original demos with Wolfie drumming before he nearly died. Before we made our first attempt at re recording the songs things actually got bad for Wolf and in turn things kind of went bad for me. We had brought in someone to engineer and to be nice it just didn’t go well. With the knowledge I’ve acquired over the last couple of years I was able to clean up the drum tracks that I thought were unusable. In short I removed every single plug in that the engineer we brought in had put on everything and started from scratch. Some of the solos are the same and some are different. After spending a few weeks doing this for fun and like I mentioned earlier I’m archiving. I felt like this was a good opportunity to release this for fun so you can hear what was done as we were moving in what I thought was a disaster looking back. I was very stressed working on Burst into flame. With Wolfie being close to deaths door and having brought in someone I hadn’t worked with before it turned into chaos. The way I write demos these days we won’t ever be able to share the demos because they ended up being recorded as the final song built on the demo. There are plans to do many formats of this in the future mostly they’ll be available on tour as fun collectibles and a reflection of the only original demos that exist. We hope you enjoy it and thanks for the support. Available on our official store hauntthenation.bandcamp.com
