After igniting stages worldwide with subcultural legends HIRAX during a nearly two-decade-long stint (that included a slew of acclaimed metal albums and EPs), the Long Beach-bred Lance and Steve Harrison forcefully return in an explosive new San Diego trio with a classic thrash attack.

“It was time to bust out,” declares bassist/vocalist Steve Harrison. “We had so many songs burning in our heads and dark hearts. There was no better time than right now.”

HarXsoN (pronounced “hair-ex-son”) unleashes fury upon the world with “Mata Al Diablo,” the inaugural single and music video from their forthcoming debut EP, the confrontationally titled Can’t Kill Us. “Mata Al Diablo” arrived Friday the 13^th at 6:66 AM Standard Hell Time. 🔥

The new song “is dedicated to our friends and fans from Latin America,” Steve explains. “The song features fast and furious riffs with a bass solo.

The brothers are joined in the 2024-formed outfit by another HIRAX alum, drummer Mike Vega. Lance’s unstoppable riff barrage powers “Mata Al Diablo” (“Kill the Devil”), which features a vicious bass break from HarXsoN’s frontman and brutally propulsive percussion from Vega.

Can’t Kill Us sees HarXsoN collaborating with not one but two celebrated thrash legends.

The EP was produced, mixed, and mastered by Bill Metoyer, whose discography includes Slayer’s Show No Mercy, Haunting the Chapel EP, and Hell Awaits, as well as seminal releases from Armored Saint, D.R.I., C.O.C., Sacred Reich, Morbid Angel, Sadus, W.A.S.P., and many more.

The EP will arrive with killer cover artwork from illustrator Ed Repka, who painted Megadeth’s Vic Rattlehead on the covers of Peace Sells… But Who’s Buying, Rust in Peace, and more. Repka’s artwork also graced the covers of the crucial first three albums from Death; classics by Dark Angel and Vio-Lence; and modern works by neo-thrashers like Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust.

HarXsoN is armed with aggressive thrash built for the circle-pitting, headbanging, and extreme music fans devoted to the early work of Slayer, Exodus, Motörhead, and the rest of the legendary metal songbook. There was no more room in hell, so HarXsoN is here on earth to thrash ‘em all!

About HARXSON:

Born and raised on the streets of Long Beach, CA, Lance and Steve Harrison have been traveling and touring the world from 2006 to 2021, totaling 16 years with the legendary thrash band Hirax. They have 2 EP’s and 2 full length albums as well as a live album and DVD’s under their belts. They’ve played and toured all over the world, including the United States, Europe, Japan, Central and South America, and much more.
