Hello guys and thank you for the interview!

– So, how did “HAND OF FATE” take the form of being who they are today and how did you guys came together?
The band was formed when 3 out of 5 current members decided to form a band. Then the rest of the members joined us almost automatically like it was fate that called them. That’s where the band’s name came from.

– Is it difficult to find good musicians in the Greek music scene in order to form a demanding metal band like yours?
We have many great musicians in Thessaloniki. Now for this music genre I must say … Yes, it is. And we consider ourselves really lucky that we have some of them.

– “Messengers of Hope” tell us a few things about the concept of the album the lyrical themes and your main musical in influences that formed  your music.

The theme is mainly expressing our feelings through music, giving a hope to the world. As for the influences they are so many and different. Metal, rock, alternative and even reggae or traditional are some of the genres that formed our style and sound.

– What are your best memories from the recording sessions?

First, the lead vocal recordings which were mostly done early morning. It was too early so she was hitting low frequency notes that she normally can’t and it was really funny, although not suitable for the songs. Secondly, when we decided to record again the drums all over again from the very beginning. The drummer performed way better and he did it in one day instead of four the first time.

– What you believe are the key points in your music that bring you the positive feedback so far? It is easier nowadays to build a fan base because of the social media and the accessibility in the music platforms or it was easier to reach higher levels of fame back in the 80’s – early 90’s?

It’s actually both. On one hand it’s easier to spread your music but on the other there is bigger competition.

– Are there any plans to see a videoclip for any of the tracks of Messenger of Hope?

Yes we are currently preparing for a video for one of our tracks.

– Where do you see HAND OF FATE in 5 years from now?

Hopefully successful and keep doing things that express us all.

– What are your plans for live appearances?

We do have plans but nothing sure yet. So, we can not reveal this information until we are 100% sure.

– If you could pick one band that you would like to be the support act at a live performance, what would that be and why?

Can’t choose there are so many! If I must choose one, I would say something like Nightwish, as they are one of our main influences.

– What we should expect from HAND OF FATE at 2020 and beyond?    

We are now working on new material for our next album so hopefully 2020 will be a year of creation!
