Every time a new HAMMERFALL album is due out, I get excited. Basically I know exactly what I am going to get – a fucking METAL album!!!! First off, thanks to Freeman Promotions & Napalm Records for getting me this album in advance, so cool!!! Now if you’re a Hammerfall fan you will no doubt love this album, if you’re into metal and still haven’t heard of them (time to crawl out from under that rock! LOL!) you will no doubt love this album!!!!

Hammerfall have been one of the most consistent metal bands for a long time. They have been cranking out quality metal since 1993, when the band first started. Their new album title “DOMINION” is no different!

If you’re new to Hammerfall, check out the song/video above – “(We Make) Sweden Rock”. This song really sums up what you’ve been missing, and what Hammerfall fans have been loving for years. Hammerfall have a unique way of combining traditional Heavy Metal with Anthemic Rock and this song epitomizes that sound. Everything is BIG, guitars, drums and the gang vocals during the chorus to drive the hook home. This is Hammerfall, this is METAL!!!!!!!

The song/video for “ONE AGAINST THE WORLD” is yet another example of Hammerfall’s metal style, combining melody and heaviness in a formula that results in metal that is dare I say Universal……..this album is full of great quality songs that most metal heads will enjoy!

The opening track “NEVER FORGIVE,  NEVER FORGET” really sets the tone for what the listener is in store for. A nice, upbeat, straight between the eyes dose of double bass metal! Big chorus vocals dominate the chorus. The second track “DOMINION”, the title track, starts off with an ACCEPT-like riff and intro, solid and steady pounding bass line, open drum beat, again those big vocal chants of the songs title, so cool, SO HEAVY!!!!!

For all the hardcore Hammerfall fans, you might want to check out the DELUXE version — so cool!

ALL metal fans should unite and buy this album, HAMMERFALL have delivered another quality collection of what we all want, metal with no frills, no bullshit. I can not recommend this album enough, long live HAMMERFALL!!!!!
