Do you like bands such as Monster Magnet and vocals like those from Rage Against The Machine? Then there is a big possibility that you will enjoy Grande Fox!

The band from Greece on their second full album changes the borders of stoner rock. They have already released one more album and an EP and they were already suspicious about their unique personality but their new “Empty Nest” album proves that they are back for sure. The nest is full about their influences and they are inspired from rock, psychedelic stuff, metal…and even…oriental Greek sounds.

They have combined perfectly Sabbath and hard rock riffs with a psychedelic attitude. Their lyrics are very serious, about every-day life and personal problems but also focusing on the dirty games of life and power. This album lacks nothing. The production is perfect (mixed and mastered by the mighty Marcos Rodriguez, the ex-guitarist from Rage), the songwriting is full of good ideas, the chemistry between the musicians ideal.

Nikos’ voice has the vocal range and style of  Zack De La Rocha but  it fits perfectly the band’s style with his melodic and wild singing. The guitarist is very talented and clever about adding unique elements and sounds to the final result. And…the perfect rhythm section for  this stoner oriented band.

“Rottenness Of Youth”, “Hangman”and “Manganite” are the highlights out from this beautiful album and should be checked first.  If someone wants to find something really negative to accuse them, he will find this really hard to do it. Great sound and unique attitude.

Be a  bit more attentive and you will understand that their influences don’t stop with stoner bands. Their music is a blend of many different ideas and styles that defined what we call Grande Fox! Hail to these Greeks, they can bring a revolution about stoner rock and become the next big thing of the Greek stoner scene!
