The German thrashers from Fabulous Desaster are back in 2025 with a new long player. Fans of the genre are likely to get sweaty fingers from the band name alone. The Bonn-based band can definitely keep the promise made with this name, because the quartet has lost nothing of its rousing, dynamic thrash, which contains one or two references to scene legends, since the previous album!
As on the two previous albums, the focus is on fast and furious speed thrash songs with an extremely high energy level. On “Crucify This!”, the band is even more varied than before and, in addition to the typical high-speed tracks, also unpacks more complex songs and a mid-tempo steamroller. In the tradition of old school thrash metal, the content deals with social injustice and moral decay in society, the horror and absurdity of war. When the odd fictional horror story sneaks in, there’s even room for a pinch of humor.
