Thanks to Angels PR Worldwide Music Promotion for providing us with this interview!!!!!

1. First of all, congratulations on the release of your latest album, “Artificial Imprisonment”! How does it feel to finally share this work with the world after all the effort that went into it? What feedback do you get?
Thanks, man! It’s an incredible feeling finally putting it out there. We put a ton of heart and energy into this album, and hearing fans’ reactions has been amazing. A lot of people are connecting with it on a personal level, which is the best feedback you can get.

2. The album delves into themes of isolation, digital addiction, and the struggles of modern society. What inspired you to explore such intense and contemporary topics?
Honestly, it’s just life around us. We all feel the pressure of being constantly connected, scrolling, comparing… it can be suffocating. We wanted to capture that tension and frustration, channeling it through our music in a way that hits hard but also resonates with people.
3. You describe “Artificial Imprisonment” as your darkest and most aggressive work to date. What do you think drove this evolution in your sound and songwriting?
I think it’s a mix of personal experiences and wanting to push ourselves further. We didn’t want to repeat ourselves, so we just went full throttle. Heavier riffs, darker lyrics, more raw energy. It felt natural to let the aggression and intensity reflect both the themes of the album and where we are as musicians right now.
4. Were there any particular life experiences, global events, or personal moments that shaped the concept or mood of the album?
Definitely. Life has thrown a lot at all of us in the last few years, and the world itself has been… intense. Global pandemic, wars, political corruption, financial stagnation. On a personal level, experiences with isolation and frustration, just observing how technology and society affect people, really influenced the mood and tone of the record.
5. The production feels both raw and powerful — very faithful to your thrash and heavy metal roots. Can you tell us more about the recording process and the team behind the sound?
We kept it pretty hands-on in the studio, making sure the sound stayed live and aggressive. Our producer really understood our vision, balancing clarity with raw energy isn’t easy, but we spent a lot of time getting the tones and performances just right. Every member brought their A-game, which shows in the final product. And also, I would like to thank all people involved in the project, especially George Kapa for producing and mixing the album, as well as George Bokos for the exceptional mastering.
6. Dreamlord has always balanced old-school influences with a modern approach. How do you keep that balance without losing your authenticity?
We just stay true to what we love. We grew up on thrash and heavy metal, but we’re also listening to and inspired by modern stuff. The key is blending those influences naturally, not forcing a modern twist, but letting it evolve organically while staying true to our roots.
7. Which song from the new record best represents where Dreamlord stands today as a band, and why?
I’d say “This War of Mine.” It’s aggressive, tight, and dark, but it also has dynamics and depth. It really shows the intensity we bring live and the themes we care about. It’s kind of the perfect snapshot of who we are right now.
8. Greek metal has been gaining recognition internationally since the 90s. There is also a huge rise in Greek thrash and extreme metal in recent years. How do you see Dreamlord’s role in that movement?
We just want to contribute with honesty and energy. Greek metal has a killer scene, with Suicidal Angels, Domination Inc, Toxic Terror, Memorain and so many others and it’s exciting to be part of the wave bringing attention to it again. If people see Dreamlord and think, “These guys represent that raw, real energy,” then we’re doing our job.
9. You have an upcoming live show with Blynd and Piranha — what should fans expect from that performance?
A full-on thrash assault. We’re talking high energy, tight performance, and no holding back. Fans should expect to feel it in their chest and leave sweaty, smiling, and maybe a little bruised in spirit, in a good way.
10. If “Artificial Imprisonment” could send one message to listeners, what would that message be?
Wake up and fight the cage, whatever form it takes. Whether it’s your phone, society, or personal struggles, don’t let it control you. We build our own cage, but the door is open. We just need to get out. Find your outlet, scream, and keep moving forward.
11. Looking ahead, what are Dreamlord’s plans — more touring, videos, or perhaps even new material in the near future?
We’ve got more shows lined up, a couple of videos coming, and we’re already tossing around ideas for the next chapter. No rush, but the wheels are always turning.
