DISTORTED FORCE – check out their newest album “Curves of sidereal cosmos”
BIO
Distorted Force made a start in 2008 in Thessaloniki, playing heavy metal. The majority of their covers concerned Iron Maiden, Metallica and Iced Earth. In the beginning of 2010 they independently released their first EP (Distorted Force). A year later was followed by a second EP entitled “A Dead Man’s Dream” with clear influences from Porcupine Tree and Anathema. The line-up changed and in 2012 they recorded a third EP called “Depersonalization”. That year band featured male vocals for the first time, which keep to this day. In January of 2013, they, always independently, released the first full length album: “Fields in Desolation” with the progressive elements growing through the years. In the expiration of 2014 the progressive metal path became much clearer for the band, with their second full length album “Taken by Force”. From 2014’s December until the middle of 2018, Distorted Force were busy working on the next full length album: “Curves of Sidereal Cosmos” which is the first concept album in the band’s discography. It was finally complete in May of 2018. In recent years the band musically steps at the heavy/progressive genre, following Fates Warning’s footsteps which are one of its main influences.
