While Deimos’ Dawn could theoretically still be accused of being a project with a famous singer on their debut album “Anthem Of The Lost” (2022), two years and many gigs later it has to be said: This is a real band at work!

Marc Grewe (Asinhell, ex-Morgoth, Insidious Disease), Germany’s number one death metal shouter, puts his very own stamp on thrash metal with Deimos’ Dawn. Compositionally mature, sonically clearly skipped a few steps, the band presents a new EP of the same name with “God Of Pain”. The influences of Deimos’ Dawn are mixed with the band’s own signature, albums such as “Coma of souls” (Kreator), “Seasons in the abyss” (Slayer), “Tapping the vein” (Sodom) and “Arise” (Sepultura) were the inspiration for the band’s formation and now the newcomers are letting themselves off the leash.
As with their debut album, former Sodom guitarist and rock’n’roll whirlwind Andy Brings wrote the lyrics and produced Grewe’s vocals. Recording, mixing and mastering were handled this time by Marc Wüstenhagen, whose references include chart toppers Toxpack. A special highlight this year: Deimos’ Dawn showed at the Wacken Open Air how lively and fresh old school thrash can sound in 2024.

“God Of Pain“ will be released physically exclusively as limited 12” vinyl in 3 colors.
