So, Burning Witches is a band that has been on my radar for a long time, since their first album. But, I had never seen them live before. I was excited to check them out live to see if they could match the metal energy they display on their albums – and YES THEY DID!!! These ladies rocked, at an incredibly loud volume level, for about 80 minutes. I was in metal heaven because at my age, checking out bands I’ve never seen before is rare.

The band ripped through their set with precision and looked to be having a lot of doing it, which is always great to see. At point in the show the stage lights went out, but the PA was still at full volume. While the lights were out the band was running around in a circle and laughing!!! Love it!!

I was definitely impressed by the musicianship and excellent vocals. The band is on the road promoting their latest album “Inquisition” which is out now on Napalm Records. If you haven’t checked them out, this album is a good starting point. I urge you all to go see them if they stop by your town.
