Broken Lines Biography
Broken Lines are a UK based band with influences from psychedelic, punk, rock, electronic, folk
and just about anything else that floats our boat! Our goal is to create upbeat, energetic music
that has the same effect on our audience that it has on us.
We are three established musicians/songwriters with a great deal of experience in live
performance and the music industry.
We play an eclectic mix of music from crafted punk to spacey psychedelic songs with a modern
twist. Our live shows are an energetic delivery of exciting music and performance, creating an
electrifying experience to share with our audiences.
We are trying to do something a little different that encompasses our passion and love of music.
We love to experiment with sound and are always on the lookout for new sounds whilst
earnestly trying to avoid categorisation.
We believe that if you have a public platform it should be used to inform and educate. We have
a core set of beliefs in common which drives the content of our songs without preaching. If one
person gets our message, we are happy!
Broken Lines is made up of David Wellan (guitar, vocals), Jack Jackson (drums, keyboards,
vocals) and Mark Briscoe (bass, samplers, vocals). We all have equal input in the band and
have a great respect for one another, hopefully this is reflected in our sound, and live
performance.
Now in our third year we have released our debut album entitled “Liberation”, to critical acclaim.
Recorded and produced by us, in our own studio. It is a stunning collection of songs that reflects
us and our views up until the present day.
Who knows what we’ll produce next!!!

Liberation is a crafted collection of tracks, that have helped shape our
sound over the past few years and which reflect our open minded desire to
take inspiration from all genres and styles of music. All self-penned and
produced, they form a creative and eclectic journey from shoe-gaze
inspired grooves, through growling punk and psychedelic fuzz…to
considered, emotive anthems and dark, experimental rock. We are Broken
Lines – 3 talented, free spirited and expressive musicians, putting real music
