BODACH – set to release their debut EP on October 25, 2019 #bodach
WHO ARE BODACH?
“Ro)))therham’s finest seismic riffmageddon at 432hz. The pace of punk, the muck of grunge, and the pallid face of doom circle a two-piece locked Volume Worship at its most gristly.
Formed in summer 2018, Bodach do not reinvent the wheel. They just set it on fire and watch it burn.”
Laurie Allport – Vocals, Riffs
Tom Jones – Drums, Looks
BIO
BODACH are a Heavy rock duo from the Sheffield/Rotherham area of South Yorkshire, formed in summer 2018. Playing their first show after only 6 hours of practise and writing a set (and about 8 hours of knowing each other at all), they hit Sheffield hard with a sucker punch of heavier-than-thou, but still catchy tongue-tip-toe-tap riffmageddon.
Word soon spread and they found themselves booked 7 times to play over the Tramlines Festival weekend – 5 of which were on the same day. They also issued their first self-release single ‘Red Eyed Mass’ that weekend, to local BBC Introducing repeat plays, and a quick reissue on the Velvet Moron label soon after.
Another single and DIY promo later (12,000 BC), BODACH are looking towards 2019 eagerly, being requested to join Bloodstocks Metal To The Masses heats, and booking a Belgian leg in late March – to be followed by a support slot around Europe TBA. They will follow up their October single with another in Feb 2019, and an EP in the Fall.
Keeping music pure and concise is what BODACH are all about, with no premeditated plans of putting themselves out there as ‘metal, punk, stoner, grunge or hard rock’ – they simply want to prove that they can turn any head given the chance.

“Bodach are the kind of band that make you wish you were in a band. And if you are in a band, make you wish you were in their band instead. Riffs as Gifts. If they don’t push your buttons, you ain’t got any, baby” – Matt Hume, FourCity Management, Waster records.
