BLESSED CHILD (Groove/Thrash Metal – Germany 🇩🇪 ) – Their new album “Crossing The Pit” is out NOW! #blessedchild #groovemetal #thrashmetal #heavymetal
From the band:
Hey Metalheads, first of all, the formal, the inevitable, the thing that no one really cares about but is written over and over again: “Blessed Child” come from Braunschweig and play groove-driven heavy metal with a thrash touch. We didn’t consciously maneuver ourselves into this drawer; it emerged as a reflection of our environment and the numerous reviews that you can find elsewhere. Of course, almost every musician will claim that“boxes” don’t interest them. But they are always helpful for rough classification. So that’s fine…You actually have to be pretty crazy to release a debut EP (“Monolith”) in pandemic times (February 2021),when you can hardly promote it properly live. However, as newcomers in particular, it didn’t matter to us because we just wanted to make the music that we love and that comes out when 5 different characters come together. The opportunity to create music, watch a song grow and present it to the public in proper sound form is a privilege that we have missed greatly. In March ’22 we released our first long player “The Burning Shade”. 11 tracks that seamlessly follow on from last year’s “Monolith EP” in terms of style. To top it all off, “The Burning Shade” was also released on vinyl. We as a band are now really keen to unleash the ugly little monster “Blessed Child” on the public!Even a line-up change on bass can’t stop us.Both the EP “Monolith” and the long player “The Burning Shade” were self-produced and released. They are available through the band itself or through Bandcamp. Of course, the music is also available on common streaming portals such as Spotify, iTunes or Amazon Music, and you can also find music videos and live recordings on our Facebook page and/or YouTube channel. On December 6th, 2024 our 2nd album “Crossing The Pit” will finally be released. 8 songs full of energy, stirring melodies and top-class choruses are waiting to grab the listener and not let go. See for yourself. The first reviews are full of praise and particularly emphasize the consistently high level of quality. You can find everything about Blessed Child at the attached Dropbox link. No matter whether all out puts, photos, media reactions, videos, texts. There’s pretty much everything in there that might interest you. Do whatever you want with the songs. Listen, party, curse, drink beer – whatever. We would be really happy if we could get something together somehow. In the end it still says: Let the music do the fuckin’ talking…
👉 After their highly acclaimed debut album, the German band have gone one better with their compact and powerful follow-up!
👉 Snappy, groovy, forged Heavy Metal – solidly Teutonic alloyed and riveted together with a sharp Thrash edge!
👉 Enthusiastically sung in an earthy-rough style, “Crossing The Pit” stands for absolutely rocking Metal power over its entire length!
Official album release:
Dec. 06, 2024
Frontman Steve says about the video for the song “Roll With The Changes“:
“The thing turned out really well. When Marco came up with it, I thought it was going to be something standard – but when he said he needed a GoPro and wanted to film from a moving car, I took notice. When I got to see the video in our rehearsal room for the first time, I was immediately very impressed by it, downright enthusiastic – not least because part of it was recorded in the rehearsal room, where the guys really went wild. We really did the whole thing in DIY mode – and it turned out really cool!”
