ANUBIS (Power/Thrash Metal – USA) – Release “Wake Up With The Wolves” single/lyric video #Anubis
Los Angeles, California power-thrash metal band ANUBIS is thrilled to announce the release of their latest single “Wake Up With The Wolves“, featuring guest guitarist Trey Xavier of the influential GearGods.Net website.
The single was made available on May 23, 2023.
The first song ever to feature every member of the current lineup that exists today, “Wake Up With The Wolves” continues Anubis’s tradition of fast, aggressive, ultra-melodic thrash-tinged power metal.
Anubis comments: Lyrically, this song was inspired by a recent event in which vocalist Devin Reiche attended a metal swap meet here in downtown Los Angeles, and was shocked to find an old friend from early childhood operating a booth dedicated to selling “N*tional S*cialist (wink wink)” music, merch, and literature, and the sense of confusion and betrayal that something like this was not only happening right under all of our noses, but coming from such a deeply personal source.
This banger of a song features the blazing fretwork of Trey Xavier, YouTuber, In Virtue guitarist and host of GearGods.Net website, a longtime friend of the band.
Anubis band line-up:

Justin Escamilla – Guitar (Ex-TOWER GUARD)

Biography
ANUBIS is a new rising force in the Los Angeles metal scene. Featuring veterans of local Los Angeles bands as well as international/touring bands, Anubis combines the speed and aggression of thrash metal bands like Megadeth, Testament, Havok with the twin guitar attack and soaring vocals of melodic metal like Helloween, Savatage, and Iron Maiden. After releasing their debut EP “Ashes” in 2019, it’s follow-up self-titled EP in 2020, and the “Hurricane of Hate” EP in 2021, Anubis is preparing to take its brand of metal to all of California, and the world.
Anubis takes their musicianship seriously. Guitarists Justin Escamilla and Eleazar Llerenas are both classically trained and bassist/vocalist Devin Reiche was originally the bassist for international thrash band Hatchet. They credit artists from across the metal spectrum as influences in their music: Blind Guardian, Helloween, Nevermore, Metallica, Black Dahlia Murder, and Dead Kennedys to name a few. This melting pot of metal sounds sets them apart and garners excitement from fans and audiences.
Just recently, Anubis participated as a finalist during the United States Wacken Metal Battle National competition in San Diego, California.
Anubis has its sights on making a major impact during 2023. With dozens of new singles in the works, and plans to expand into surrounding cities and states from Texas and Louisiana all the way up to Washington, Anubis is looking forward to keeping the flame burning.
