  ANTHEM is an orthodox heavy metal band representing Japan. In 2019, he released a new album “NUCLEUS”, which was newly recorded with the current lineup, adding English lyrics to songs selected from his existing albums worldwide. Four years later, ANTHEM has completed the long-awaited new album. Titled “CRIMSON & JET BLACK”. All new songs with English lyrics will be released simultaneously worldwide.

  ANTHEM, which held two anniversary tours in 2021, the revenge of the 35th anniversary tour, which was postponed for one year due to the corona wreck, and the 20th anniversary of the reunion, “ANTHEM vs ANTHEM 2001”. ”, and started working on an original album that will be released worldwide. Originally, this new work was scheduled to be released within the year after finishing recording in the spring of 2022, but leader Naoto Shibata said, “I don’t think there are enough new songs of sufficient quality yet.” Reset, we decided to record from the summer to the fall of 2022. Shibata is the same producer as before, but Jens Bogren, who worked on mixing and mastering for “NUCLEUS”, is listed as a co-producer this time.

  “CRIMSON & JET BLACK” is the 17th original album in total, six years after “ENGRAVED” in 2017. It will be the 10th work since the reunion in 2001, and the 3rd work as the current strongest lineup. ANTHEM in the 21st century has always set and implemented the goal of “the latest work is the best work”, and this time it has definitely achieved that goal. It’s a powerful sound that’s nothing but ANTHEM, and it’s also fresh. The quality of the recorded songs is a masterpiece of the highest level in the world. In the current heavy metal scene, ANTHEM once again proves that they are top class in the world. Witness the “new chapter” of ANTHEM, who will make a further leap forward with this masterpiece!
