ANTHEM’s 35th Anniversary Tour, which was postponed from 2020 to 2021 due to the corona sickness, successfully completed the entire schedule while clearing various conditions for infectious disease control. This tour, which began with 2 performances in Sendai on May 8th and 9th, was originally scheduled for 7 performances until the performance in Tokyo EX THEATER ROPPONGI on June 5th, but then Kawasaki on June 11th.・ Additional performances at Club Citta have been added, making a total of 8 performances. As a result, “ANTHEM’s Holy Land” Club Chitta settled down in the beautiful form of a tour final, but due to the extension of the emergency declaration in Osaka Prefecture, the business of commercial facilities was suspended until May 31st, so Osaka on May 22nd.・ The BIGCAT performance was postponed to June 16th, and the final destination of the tour was Osaka. It was a form that was swayed by the corona until the end, but it can be said that the completion of the tour overcoming it is a feat.

Naoto Shibata [b], Akio Shimizu [g], Yukio Morikawa [vo], Isamu Tamaru [ds], four active ANTHEM members, MAD Ouchi [ds], Tony Maeda [vo], Eizo Sakamoto [ Graham Bonnet was scheduled to participate as “ANTHEM’s fourth singer” only in the final EX THEATER ROPPONGI performance of this tour with the addition of vo], but Graham was scheduled to participate in this year’s infection spread situation. It is impossible to come to Japan. So, in a hurry, Hiro Homma [ds] decided to participate in Roppongi as a special event, and he also decided to play in Kawasaki. This video work “ANTHEM 35th ANNIVERSARY TOUR” is a complete recording of these two performances in Roppongi and Kawasaki.

This tour was not a two-part system due to the restrictions of Corona, but the members of the past were replaced and appeared. The dense content of 19 songs + 1 Angkor song that covers the history of ANTHEM from the present to before the debut has always pushed forward with the pride that this band is “the strongest now” in any era. It clearly shows that it was. Ideally, “all songs of all ages have the same power and are enthusiastically welcomed by fans,” but it is a difficult task to achieve. But ANTHEM is one of the rarest bands in the world to do that. This video work containing these two performances can be said to be a monument to praise their achievements.
