Amenra have been hand-picked as special guests by The Sisters of Mercy for their two sold out shows at The Roundhouse in London on 20th and 21st September, the news broke early this week via Kerrang! and its been revealed that production holds for both events will be released soon.
About the invite, Colin Van Eeckhout from AMENRA reveals…”When I was a kid my aunt used to listen to them shitloads. The Likes. Adam and the Ants and The Cure. I only had my 7 year old self as a reference and it blew my mind. I think around that time Floodland got released and I listened to it over and over. Thinking they weren’t from this world. The drum machines, bass-lines…the drive of it all. I grew to love their sense of identity, community, the aesthetics, and how the band was a complete work of art. I guess since then I have been attracted to the darker side of things. This to me feels like coming full circle. A place where past and future meet.”
