Hello guys! Congrats for your new video “Secret Star of Isis”. Really refreshing sound! How are you?

Hello and thank you for the compliment!

Tell us a few words about the recordings of your new album “Digitaria”. When and where?

The recording of Digitaria was at the end of 2020 and the release in Jan. 2021. We record all our albums in Czech Republic in the Shaark studios. I like the professional work of Pavel and Peter from the Shaark. I would say in the years of working together they know exactly which sounds we prefere.

3) How can you describe your sound?

Death, doom and metal in a unique mix. Melodic and rhythmic. Sometimes strange and dark. Lot of powerful stuff I think. Alvarez-metal!

4) Are there any plans for another full album in the near future?

Yes, we are still working on the new album “Moonshinewhores”. The release will be somewhere in 2022. The songs are recorded, but if I listen critically to it I decide to make it better in a few cases and for some reasons.

5) Any plans for live performances?

Not now in the Covid virus chaos. But if it ends we will play live!

6) Do you have any other musical projects, or you feel really dedicated about your band?

At the moment I have no musical side project. I take all my energy in Alvarez. But never say never.

7) What do you enjoy most? Recordings or stage and why?

I enjoy both! I love to create music and recordings, but I also love the energy and power of playing live. After show parties! To meet old friends and new people.

8) What is your opinion about the whole situation in the world today? Are you happy?

I am sad and angry about the world today! Politics are lying and selling people just for their own profit. we lose our democratic lifes and go more and more in a dictature system. Total control wherever you look. Poor young people! They did not know how beautiful this life can

be if you are almost free. We need to stand up and fight for our right to live a free life. But not aggressive! Just love can heal this world! Love and respect!!!

What are your future plans about the band? Are you going to keep a steady line up or you will follow the idea of a project?

It is in every band the same. You never know what tomorrow will come. Musicians will come and go, but I will stay. It is all about professional playing and taking a creative input in the music. If there is no will to give the best performance you are kicked out. That is my philosophy and the only way to hold a high level. I have lost too much time with musicians thinking they are “Superstars”. I am very happy with the guitarist Jakub Plecho. He is a permanent part of Alvarez from the beginning and I count with him also for the future!

10) Do you believe in God?

Which God do you mean? There are so many out there with different names and stories. No

I do not believe in one of them. But I am neither an atheist. It would be too difficult to explain what I believe.

11) Are you angry with prejudiced people judging your music?

No, everybody has the right to have their own opinion. Someone like this and someone that. I am happy that I get a lot of good responses from people who listen to Alvarez. I have a simple tip for people who dislike our music – just do not listen to our music!
